Brave keeps asking me to discard or keep downloads

Description of the issue:
This bug seems to have returned: Asking To Keep Or Discard Downloads

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Download a file that ends in .msi or .exe using windows Brave browser

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Download is blocked until you click keep.

Expected result:
Option to disable blocking of downloads

Reproduces how often:
Very often, nearly every time I download a file

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 11, Brave for Windows v1.51.110

Additional Information:
I have anti-virus and Windows account control. I do not need brave to tell me every EXE or MSI can be dangerous. I already know this.

I believe that this is happening because you have Safe Browsing disabled in the browser (Settings --> Privacy and Security --> Security —> Safe Browsing). Please try enabling Safe Browsing, then test to see if the issue persits.

Safe browsing blocks some websites and downloads that are safe. I can determine for myself what is safe. Please add feature to turn off keep and discard independent of this.

is there any update on this? it’s extremely aggravating and a terrible user-experience. i’d rather use FireFox or any other browser that doesn’t prompt you to confirm absolutely every single downloaded file at this point.
