Brave keeps adding itself as a user login item

Description of the issue:
Brave is added to user login items upon every restart, regardless of whether or not it is manually removed.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install Brave app
  2. Brave app is automatically added as a user login item
  3. Remove Brave app as a user login item manually through System Preferences or through an app like App Cleaner & Uninstaller
  4. Restart computer
  5. Brave loads at login
  6. Check user login items -Brave is back.

Expected result:

I would expect Brave to no longer start upon login after manually removing as a login item.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.21.76 Chromium: 89.0.4389.86 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Additional Information:

I have checked the following folders as well

~root/library/launch agents
~root/library/launch items
~root/library/startup items

Brave is not present in any of those contexts. Thanks
