Hello @thepanchalshadow - could I have you check brave://components and do a quick run-through to make sure all are up-to-date (clicking will confirm)? Following this, please re-launch your browser and retry to see if the ads persist.
Yes. It happens sometimes but I don’t know for what reason. The only thing that helps is to uninstall Brave completely and reinstall it. Then it will work properly. I know because I use Brave without Ad-Blocker only for YouTube. You can also install AdNauseam just in case.
aggressive blocking is on, components page says everything is up to date, cookies and caches have been cleared.
the only thing that happened, was i restarted my computer. before i did that about an hour ago, brave was blocking ads perfectly fine. rebooted, now there’s ads everywhere. i rebooted a second time, and that didn’t change anything.
this is on windows 11, version 10.0.26100 build 26100, with windows update showing as everythings up to date. the only browser add-on is “Fullscreen Anything”, which i disabled in an attempt to rule it out as some malicious culprit, and it has been ruled out.
Do you have lists listed and checked? In settings>shields>content filtering
What is shown under filter lists?
I ask because I had a similar issue and had NO LISTS for no explainable reason. This is when I reinstalled after not knowing how to repopulate my list of filters
Like I said. Brave must be reinstalled if for some reason ads appear on YouTube that’s the only solution. For now Brave works great for me no ads on YouTube.
