About 4 months ago, I went to bookmarks to bring up a website. All bookmarks, all gone. I did the “turn off, turn back on” solution and restarted my computer, with my fingers crossed. Nope, still all gone. Other than this problem, BRAVE has worked like a charm.
Sorry to hear that … I have never had a problem with losing bookmarks in Brave … more than a few years use now of Brave.
Been using BRAVE for couple years, as well. Even losing the bookmarks, I still plan on keeping BRAVE as my main browser and tell others to use it, too.
Go to the User Data and find Bookmarks.bak copy, paste, rename it to Bookmarks and done, unless you added bookmarks and all that already, modified everything which caused the bookmarks.bak to get overwritten, you should be able to get them back easily.
Already overwritten, I’m sure. I’ll save this and use it for the next occurrence. Thanks for the info.
%localappdata%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Bookmarks.bak Should be the exact path for it.

That is a chromium issue actually. The team is working on it.
