Brave is blocking a site I often visit.

I recently started using the Brave browser, but I’m experiencing issues when accessing a site -https://www.infinityfree.com/- I frequently use. When I visit the site, the content breaks, and an error message appears. Sometimes, this happens immediately upon entering the site, while other times, it occurs about 10 seconds later.

Before installing Brave, I never encountered this issue on any other browser.

I switched to Brave for a better experience, but now I have to keep switching between Brave and Chrome just because of this issue, which is really inconvenient. Please help.

@Clover

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

brave://settings/content/javascript

Scroll down that javascript settings page to Allowed to use javascript

Click the Add button

Enter [*.]infinityfree.com as the site . . . but do not Enable the following:

  • Current Private session only

Click the Add button

Repeat those steps for:

  • [*.]07c225f3.online
  • [*.]cdn.fuseplatform.net
  • [*.]cdn.perfops.net
  • [*.]channel.io
  • [*.]cloudflare.com
  • [*.]cloudflareinsights.com
  • [*.]cmp.inmobi.com
  • [*.]content-loader.com
  • [*.]css-load.com
  • [*.]error-report.com
  • [*.]html-load.com

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

  • brave://settings/clearBrowserData

Select the Advanced tab. Time range: All time. Clear cookies and cache.

Also, you might have an extension that is a problem.

Thank you for your help.
However, even after trying the method you suggested, the issue persists. :sob:

I’m experiencing the same issue…

@Clover

I updated my previous reply, to include more sources of javascripts.

The website uses cascading javascripts. Some of the javascripts, allowed, are followed by cookies and more javascripts.

Hmm… I added everything to the allowlist and cleared the cache, but it still didn’t work…

@Clover

Without making any other settings changes at brave://settings/content/javascript, select: Don't allow sites to use JavaScript

Exit / Quit Brave Browser (BB). Start BB and test.

I set it up that way, but the issue persists, and the Brave forum looks strange.

@Clover

Again, I updated my earlier reply, to include more sources of javascripts. Please review / update the entries at brave://settings/content/javascript.

Wednesday, 02/12/2025 - That updated list:

  • [*.]07c225f3.online
  • [*.]cdn.fuseplatform.net
  • [*.]cdn.perfops.net
  • [*.]channel.io
  • [*.]cloudflare.com
  • [*.]cloudflareinsights.com
  • [*.]cmp.inmobi.com
  • [*.]content-loader.com
  • [*.]css-load.com
  • [*.]error-report.com
  • [*.]html-load.com

The website of interest, is designed to bombard the Internet browser with a cascade of scripts. A few scripts at first, followed by combinations of scripts plus some repeats of scripts.

That is a strategy apparently designed to frustrate the Internet browser user’s efforts to discretely limit the website’s curiosities and intrusions: The website will shower the Internet browser with many dozens of attempts to display ads.

In order to reduce the “bombardment” by the website, I created a Custom filter to satisfy the pop-up window that you have oberved:

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

  • brave://settings/shields/filters

Scroll down to Create Custom filters

For the first line, enter: @@||html-load.com^

Scroll down to the bottom of that page and click the Save changes button.

Exit / Quit Brave Browser. Start Brave Browser and test the website:

PS. Brave Community looks strange [your: “the Brave forum looks strange”], because Brave changed some of the webpage characteristics: colors.

The site is blocking access because you have an ad blocker enabled.

Please re-enable the Site can use JavaScript option, remove any filters and revert any changes you’ve made thus far.

Once that is done, please simply visit the site and when you see that error, please click on the Shields icon in the address bar and toggle Shields “off” for the site.

Does the site load now?
