Description of the issue:
In the Windows Brave Browser, on at least one of my endpoints, multiple versions (including current)…
- Brave eventually has the “Always On Top” (AOT) attribute set, so it covers all other windows all the time.
- Workaround: use Windows PowerToys to first Enable (win-ctrl-T) then disable (win-ctrl-T again) AOT. Now it’s off… at least for a few days.
How can this issue be reproduced?
IF you have an endpoint w/ this, it’s simple:
- Open Brave browser
- Open any other window. It will be hidden behind Brave, period.
I realize this is painful since not easily reproduced. Hints on diagnosing MOST welcome.
Expected result:
Brave is NOT AOT. Unless there’s an explicit setting for this (I’ve not found one.)
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
All recent versions of Windows desktop Brave, including 1.68.128
Additional Information:
I’ve tried a full reset. Did nothing.
(Is there an attribute I might see in browser Developer Tools???)
THANK YOU!
