Branding is important. Companies aim to stay true to their initial intentions for how they want their product to make consumers feel. I chose Brave because it attracts consumers that try to mitigate corporate manipulation in their digital landscape (ads, trackers, bloat, etc.)
It sounds silly, but a bright red logo popping out on my screen calling my subconscious to be alert and stimulate urgency just rubs me the wrong way. I would really appreciate the option to change the icon to something calmer/ sleeker built into the browser. It would make me way less inclined to look for alternatives.
I know there are ways to change it, but they are a hassle and get reverted when the browser updates. A built in option would be amazing.
