By default across my whole system I have notifications turned off for all software. Every time I update Brave the helper overrules my System Settings and turns notifications back on. This is an annoyance and disturbing that Brave will continually do this and has the power to override my System Settings. It give me no confidence in the integrity Brave or my privacy choices. This happens on different Macs (desktop M1 and laptop Intel i5) running different versions of the Operating System. I like Brave a lot but if this continues I will dump the browser for something I can trust. I am currently running Brave 1.65.132 Chromium 124.0.6367.202.
