This issue wont happen if Brave is already open or active in the background. I’ll open up Brave. It will try open with the last tab I was on. Brave will get to the home screen with the last tabs URL in the search bar. The requesy will get to roughly 20%, stop for 7-10 seconds, then submit it no problem. Or ill open for geh firsy time Brave into a new tab (like from a swarch widget on my home screen) it will start up with no problem and get to the home screen, I’ll submit a search request. The request will go through, and tge loading bar below the search bar with get to rough 20% and stop for 7-10 seconds then go through just fine. I experience this bug when i first open brave after a period on inactivity. This happens with every other search engine too. I don’t think it has anything to do with Brave search. I don’t have this issues on any other browser I use Brave search on. Again this issue only happens if Brave isn’t already open. After I wait this 7-10 seconds it will load my search, and I can search again or open another tab with no issues. I went into the settings and changes it to ‘close tabs on exit’ and this did decrease the wait time to about 5 seconds. What strong is that I also went intoy android setting and turned off ‘pause app activity if unused’ but it will still do this on its first start up after a period of my not using brave.
How can this issue be reproduced?
1.Opening Brave Browser from a sleep/paused/closed state
2.Brave search starts up quickly, with no issues on other Firefox and chrome browsees
3.
Expected result:
For brave to submit my search request without freeze for 10 seconds.
