Brave forgetting logins every time i close the browser

i know there has been many threads about brave forgetting logins but ive never been able to resolve my issue.

Some logins are remembered fine but some like YouTube, twitch etc every time I close my browser it logs me out and I have to go through all the 2 factor authentication again on my phone to log back in(this never use to be the case I could always remain logged in providing I didn’t clear all cookies etc.)
I have none of the boxes checked to clear data when I close the browser so how come it always logs me out? I have installed a few browser updates since having the problem but it hasn’t changed.
i never have passwords and addresses etc saved in my browser but I shouldn’t have to it should stay logged in?

Do you have any extensions installed at this time?
Also, if you go to brave://password-manager/settings do you have the Sign-in automatically option enabled?

sign in automatically is enabled yes and yes i have browser extensions but I’ve always had them and this problem has just started recently

You probably need to configure the “Forgetful browsing” feature. There is a global setting and a per-site switch. Check Brave global shield settings and shield settings in toolbar flyout on the pages on which you wish to remain logged in.

Also check out this thread for more info:

not sure what settings i should be changing but it seems they are set to allow cookies already, so far its Twitch and YouTube that logs me out every time i close the browser everything else stays logged in, even disabling shields altogether on them sites doesn’t help

ok I may have resolved this time will tell, I was logging into these sites with 2 factor authentication where i was confirming the login on my phone, i logged in by actually typing the passwords in and not confirming on my phone and it seems to be working for now
