Description of the issue:
Brave forgets sign-in information for all websites upon restart, even though it was previously remembering login sessions. No changes were made to the settings.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Sign in to any website and ensure the session is remembered.
  2. Restart Brave.
  3. Open the same website, and it requires signing in again.

Expected result:
Brave should retain login sessions after restarting, as it did before.

Release Notes v1.75.175 (Feb 6, 2025)

Additional Information:

  • No changes were made to Brave’s settings before the issue started.
  • Issue occurs across all websites.
  • Other browsers on the same system do not exhibit this behavior.
