Brave for Windows latest build crashes while loading web site signin/login page

#1

Updated Brave today.
Loaded www.costco.com, ok.
Attempted to sign in at https://www.costco.com/LogonForm
Brave crashes before loading the signin page. (No chance to enter username/pwd, the signin page itself crashes the browser.)

Attempting to load with shields down generates same result.
Starting with a clean Brave profile generates same result.
Attempting to load with all cookies enabled generates same result.

I was able to login using this page in previous Brave versions within the past week or so, with the release channel Windows variant.

I did not encounter any issues to sign in using Brave on Android.

To reproduce:

  1. Navigate to www.costco.com
  2. Click “Sign in/register” at top right
    Brave crashes.

Windows 10 Home, v1803
OS build 17134.48

Brave 0.22.721
V8 6.6.346.32
rev bfe7cdd
Muon 6.0.12
OS Release 10.0.17134
Update Channel Release
OS Architecture x64
OS Platform Microsoft Windows
Node.js 7.9.0
Brave Sync v1.4.2
libchromiumcontent 66.0.3359.170

Please let me know if you’d like more info, or to reattempt with different parameters.

Hi @Wazowski

I’m unable to reproduce this, is it still happening for you?

Thanks,
Lauren

No luck on Windows either. Could you try clearing browser cache once and check if you are able to login.

Hi Lauren,

Yes, I just tried it again, same thing happened.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Sriram,

I just cleared all elements of cache, tried again, same result.

Thanks

Not sure if this is related, posting on the same thread in case it is:

Brave crashes when attempting to load www.homedepot.com

Enter URL in browser, hit enter, site starts to load but crashes before loading is complete.

Same browser and Windows versions as previously described.

Costco login page also continues to crash Brave, no change there. (None expected yet.)
