Brave for Linux only finds one chromecast device

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Right click in the active browser tab and select “Cast…”
  2. In an environment with multiple chromecast TVs using the same local network for streaming, only the first chromecast device appears. By “first” I mean the chromecast device that appears first in the list that is presented on the Windows desktops that are on the same local network and also running Brave. Note that Brave on Windows 10/11 displays the same device list as Chrome.

Expected result: Brave for Linux should show the same list of chromecast devices on the local network that it’s windows counterpart displays, not only the first device in the list of available devices.

Brave Version: Version 1.67.123 Chromium: 126.0.6478.126 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: Running on Ubuntu 20.04. This limitation (bug) prevents me from selecting the TV that I would like to cast to.

@djmcfarwi,
Thank you for the report.
Wondering if you still see this issue if you update to the latest browser build (v1.68.137)? In the meantime I will reach out to some of our Linux devs and see if they can test this.

@Mattches I’ll give the latest build a try, and report back with the result, thanks.

@Mattches - yes, the problem persists on v1.68.137
