I tried all of the advice in various posts with no success. I tried permutating settings and discovered that the icon settings caused the problem. My resolution was:
- Right click the Brave icon. Open ‘Properties’. Select ‘Shortcut’ tab and click on ‘Advanced’ button. Deselect ‘Run as Administrator’.
- Select ‘Compatibility’ tab and deselect ‘Run this program as administrator’. Deselect ‘Register this program for restart’.
- Select ‘OK’ button
- Double click Brave icon.
It worked for me. My W11 user profile is in ‘Administrator’ group, possible conflict where the ‘Run as administrator’ option is confusing the issue? Good luck.
