Over the past week Brave has stopped downloading anything as it’s original file and has stopped asking for the download location. I’ve tried clearing cache and cookies and neither worked. When I use a different profile the issue ceases, but I don’t want to move all of my accounts and preferences over due to a bug.
@Fish2 Sounds like settings were modified. For example, what do you have set at
brave://settings/downloads? That’s where you set where you want things to download and can toggle the setting for
Ask where to save each file before downloading.
Both of these things have been checked four times. “Ask where to download” is on and gets ignored and the TMP files all path to my default location.
