i run windows 11 Pro (version 23H2, build 22631.3144)on a GMKtec with dual landscape 32" monitors mounted one above the other. i run brave on one monitor in a “sized to fit” the screen state. scaling is set at 125%.
the display is set at a resolution of 1360x768 (logically 2720x1536). i’ve got the clock toggle set to “on” but the clock is not visible.
it’s pretty clear that the clock will become visible once the vertical pixel count of the logical screen exceeds some critical value though. whether that value is fixed or variable, i don’t know.
visibility of the clock or lack of it is atomic and dynamic. the clock is either entirely visible or not and is totally dependent on the vertical pixel count and will become visible or lose visibility with minute adjustments with the mouse by pulling at the upper or lower edges of the window.
shouldn’t be too hard to find in the code where its happening. unless it’s caused by a third party software package that’s not easily scrutinized or modified.
