In this latest update( 1.70.117) , brave stopped displaying the clock. This happen to anyone else?
@cybermetal,
Thank you for reaching out.
What OS are you using? Clock is still showing on my end — can you confirm that the clock is still enabled by going to the NTP and clicking Customize --> Clock
?
Brave Beta ( 1.71.88) also stopped working the clock after the last update. This update must be having problems showing the clock
The clock on both Beta and stable versions is working as expected for me. Let me do some digging on this.
Can you tell me what OS you’re using at this time?
I’m using Windows 10 Pro
Thank you.
Still waiting on a response from some team members about this. I assume you’ve already tried toggling the clock feature on/off, is that correct? If not, it’s worth trying to see if it makes any difference.
Yes, I already try to do that! I tested all the other functions of the dashboard, and the only one that doesn’t show up is the clock
I figured as much. Very strange — please allow me some time to hear back from the team. Will reply back here as soon as I have more information for you.
Appreciate your patience.
Is there any way I can install older versions of Brave?
@cybermetal,
Can you please confirm the dimensions of your screen? You can use the following site to do so (dimensions displayed at the top):
Browser window size: 1360 x 647
Screen size: 1365 x 648
I installed the previous version (1.69.168) and the clock appeared again for me!
Only in this update it is not showing the clock
The Clock does not show for me after this update, also. I am using Brave Desktop on Chromebook/Linux.
@treego14 can you please share the sceen dimensions on your end?
current:Browser window size: 1284 x 727Screen size: 1292 x 734
I have the same problem
Browser window size: 1199 x 528
Screen size: 1204 x 536
@treego14 do you have your zoom level changed to higher than 100% by chance?
No, it is at 100%. Interestingly, after you asked me this question, I tried reducing the zoom level … and guess what? At 90% zoom, the clock appears!
@treego14 thank you for the information.
The issue seems to be that screen dimensions that have a height of <700px will not show the clock. Additionally, zoom levels of 150% or higher will also hide the clock. However, your situation appears to contradict that.
I’ve passed this information onto the team for review. Will reply back here when I have more information.
