Brave doesn't remember Google credentials

Lastest version of Brave browser for Windows running on Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.

Brave asks me for Google account credentials (userid, password, and then do a 2FA) on every new launch of the browser. It does this for GMail, Youtube, etc. It only started doing this recently. Previously once I supplied my credentials it would remember them and not prompt me for them again. I’m pretty sure it’s not a Google issue as I use Brave browser on my Android phone and tablets and they remember my credentials accross browser sessions. I also have tried Chrome and it works properly. I do not delete cookies between sessions.

I’ve searched a lot for why this happens and how to get the behaviour back to what it was, but have found similar issues but no suggestions that have helped.

Any idea why it won’t remember credentials between Google sessions?

No one experiences loss of Google account password after closing Brave? Like you’re using it fine, shutdown the computer, logon the next day and it asks you to log into Google when you use GMail or when you go to the Google home page? Then you have to do the 2FA login. Happens every day for me and I’ve tried a lot of suggestions but none work.

What’s Brave doing that it doesn’t remember credentials?
