Brave doesn't meet Kibana requirements

Description of the issue:
Brave browser doesn’t meet elastic kibana security requirements
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open any Kibana Elastic Cloud instance

Expected result:
Showing the kibana page

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.66.115
Additional Information:

It’s probably not that surprising, but the same is true of on-prem Kibana instances, i.e. those also don’t permit Brave for some reason.

Quite frustrating when I’m using Brave as the default browser at work…

@wijamw @shaamaan can both of you confirm, at what stage of things do you get that message? For example, I was able to create an account and navigate around. So it would be kind of key here to see what needs to be done to experience your issue.

If it’s not something that can be replicated, then the general premise would be it’s something extra in your settings, extensions, or device that is causing problems. For example, are you blocking cookies or anything?

I take it back. Seems this must have been fixed by Elastic with some recent patch. I’ve updated our on-prem instances and now it works fine here too.

One more update; I just had to access our local Kibana stack and got the same error… again! :open_mouth:

But then I was able to access the stack using private browsing. I’ll do some more testing.

Assuming you realize, but this is an indication that it’s either cookies or extensions causing the issue.

Thanks, I will try to update my version then. I currently use 8.11.4. Could you let me know your fixed version so I can update to it as well?

I don’t have the domain, but assuming the site is “elastic.co

elastic.co##+js(brave-fix) add this to brave://adblock custom rules

The latest, so 8.14.1 at the time of writing.
