Brave does not work in Ubuntu 16, blank web pages

#1

Hello Brave Browsers

An issue I have noted where Brave would not load any pages after a few minutes of browsing on Ubuntu, a simple white screen is displayed.

I am using the latest version of Brave below is the about:brave data

Name Version

Brave 0.15.2
rev af7ef42
Muon 2.58.9
libchromiumcontent 58.0.3029.96
V8 5.8.283.37
Node.js 7.9.0
Update Channel dev
os.platform linux
os.release 4.8.0-49-generic
os.arch x64

I am not sure what else to say, just it would try to load the page then simply stop loading and display a white page, closing and reopening the browsers fixes this, but again after a few minutes, the same thing happens.

I will look forward to your reply

With Regards
Chris Russell

Howdy, love the browser.

Just wanted to append a little to this, am seeing the samish issues with Fedroa 25, the difference is that I generally see the blank text on the second tab.

If I float the sprite over the page, I can see the links being highlighted in the dialog at the bottom of the page, but all content is invisible. Kinda like foreground == background, but for everything, including images.

I’m seeing this, too. If I hold my mouse over the tab, the page content appears. Move the mouse off the tab and the content disappears/is hidden. Persisted after reboot BUT it doesn’t do it all the time.

It seems to begin after I load a large number of sites (10) from a folder. (Right-click folder in bookmarks bar, select “Open all in tabs.”)

Un update, possibly related.

I had a situation where I needed to run from the ‘root’ account, and the multiple tabs all played fine.

Tried this a at least one more time, it worked the second time too.

Keep up the good work.
