Brave desktop Version 1.69.168 for Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 suddenly stopped lauching any site - with or without a VPN turned on. Downloaded a second copy of Brave and that copy won’t launch any site either.

I “launch” websites from a password manager (the most recent version of the LastPass extension installed on Brave and all other browsers on my Mac) and until last night I had no problems. I’m still able to successfully launch from LastPass in any of the three other browsers I have on my Mac (Safari, Firefox, and Chrome), it’s only the Brave browser where sites won’t launch.
If I type in a website’s full URL on Brave the site will open. Clearly that isn’t a practical alternative.
I am having the exact same issue accessing common sites like google.com and youtube.com. This despite being able to access sites perfectly fine in Safari or Firefox on the same Macbook. These are the debugging steps I took:
Tried incognito mode, sites still wont load
Turned off all extensions, sites still wont load
Turned off all security measures, sites still wont load
Completely uninstalled Brave, redownloaded, sites still wont load
Not a DNS issue - can ping google.com from brave://net-internals
Just for good measure, I tried ISP DNS, Google DNS, and Cloudflare DNS, sites still wont load
I’m at a loss at to what it could be, it was working perfectly up until about 48 hours ago. I have a work computer with the same OSX version and same Brave version, and it works fine (so far). Very strange.
@Newbie Just to clarify, this issue only happens when launching from LastPass, right? Clicking links on other pages, using bookmarks, or favorites works as expected? Is there any other way to replicate the issue besides launching from LastPass?
Also, what happens when you try launching? Does any window open, is there an error message, or does it stay blank? Any extra details would be helpful.
