Brave crashing when attempting to translate pages to other languages

Description of the issue:
Brave is crashing when attempting to use the “Translate to English” feature of the right-click menu. Specifically when trying to choose another language.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Right click and select “Translate to English”
  2. Click on “Translate Options”
  3. Click on “Choose Another Language”
  4. Click on drop-down bar
  5. Brave crashes 100% of the time. I’ve tried ~10 times just to be sure it wasn’t intermittent.

Expected result:
Brave displays the drop-down menu with a list of languages where I can then select a language and translate the page.

Hello - Thank you for reporting. Could you send your recent crash logs at brave://crashes and provide the Crash ID here? Thank you again!

Certainly, I’ve sent the crash report via brave:///crashes but it says “Not uploaded” despite hitting the “Send Now” button. I have enabled crash reporting and it gives me no warning saying that it’s disabled for any reason.

Here is a screenshot displaying the greyed out “Send Now” buttons after clicking on them.

In the case that it’s taking some time and has indeed already uploaded, here are the 4 most recent crash times+IDs:

Edit: Consolidated additional info into first two posts:

  • Provided screenshot in addition to crash dates/IDs
  • Added DNF package info to additional info in original post

@vubgd you’ll need to click Send now and then share the IDs generated after sending them. The proper IDs generated should end in all 0’s, as shown in the example below:

Ah, I needed to refresh the crashes page to see status changes:

I suppose I’m waiting for them to be uploaded as per @Mattches reply. Then I will post the new IDs.

@Mattches @Evan123 Here is one of the crash ID’s after being uploaded successfully.
