I just tried that, that doesn’t work either.
I’m really confused aswell!
It doesn’t recognise it with cmd so I tried this and it doesn’t stop the crashing
i think that we’re in the same mess lmao
Same issue on linux
in logs:
/usr/bin/brave-browser: line 48: 5108 Memory protection violation (memory dump) “HERE/brave" "@”
–disable-gpu doesn’t fix as workaround
@borjanvitanov,
Once again, the steps here are the same in Windows 10 as they are in 7 – please try editing the Target
path in the Brave browser shortcut to disable GPU.
Thank you!
Now it’s working good.
Hope it won’t crash again. So far all is ok.
I have tried all methods explained in this thread to prevent Brave from crashing after about a minute and the only thing that worked for me was to recreate my user profile.
When I tried to move my data across from the backed up user profile to the newly created profile, Brave would crash again so it was just easier to start fresh.
@skitch,
This likely means that some browsing data or an extension is causing the issue with your browser. On your main profile, try disabling your extensions and see if this changes the behavior. If it does not, try clearing all browsing data on your profile and see if you notice any changes.
EDIT:
I Left the Sync chain that i was a part of and the browser has not crashed in the few hours after i have done that.

@xSlap,
Apologies for the late reply.
It seems as though you have some extensions crashing in the second screenshot you’re sharing there. Are you still seeing these same errors when you launch Brave from the terminal?
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS
Yes i still see those errors. I disabled my extensions and ran the browser in the terminal.
and they still show up. Also today i updated to v 1.10.95
Previously when I posted before I was on v 1.10.93
But after i left the Sync chain that i was a part of the browser does not crash.
@xSlap,
Good – this is likely because Sync v1 is being depreciated and Sync v2 will be rolling out to all Brave channels soon. Until then, just ensure you don’t enable Sync and you should be good to go.
