Brave crashes when trying to sign into google

Description of the issue:
Any time I try sign into gmail either through the gmail website or using google as a a sign in method, it opens the sign in screen and then Brave Crashes

Apr-05-2025 07-19-51

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to gmail.com
  2. Press sign in
  3. Crash

Expected result: To sign in

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.77.95

Additional Information:

Steps I have taken to resolve / trouble shoot:

  1. Disabled all extensions + browser restart
  2. Machine restart
  3. Cleared cookies + browser restart
  4. Deleted Brave and Reinstalled
  5. Tried log in through Incognito window

Hello - Do you have any recent crashes logged at brave://crashes? If so, would you mind providing the crash id?

I am have the same issue today. I can no longer sign into my google or youtube account, it crashes.

Please fix asap Brave team.

I wanted to try Brave again.
Sadly, gmail login crashes when it goes to the password bit. :thinking:
On Windows 11, so this isn’t an Mac only issue.

I just downloaded the Brave browser through brave.com
So the latest stable one ?

I also have the same issue here on MAC OS Ventura

Since yesterdays Installation of
Version 1.77.95 Chromium: 135.0.7049.52 (Offizieller Build) (x86_64)

Same thing happening to me. Thought it might be a conflict with the latest macOS Ventura version. Clearly from the thread it’s more widely spread than just that. Each time I attempted to log into my gmail accounts, I got booted out and Brave crashed. Very disappointing. FWIW, I can log into my “local” Tana which uses a Brave window through firebase to launch the app.

I am also facing the same issue. After upgrading Brave to the latest version, it killed off all my logged-in sessions of Google, and when I tried to re-login, it was crashing. I am on MacOS Ventura. This is very frustrating. Had to revert to Google Chrome to access my mails and other stuff.
