Brave crashes as logining to a website

Description of the issue:
On a website, as you submitted a username & password, Brave will just totally shut down, and closes.

I am new to Brave, and this is my first installation of the browser.

How can this issue be reproduced?
Window 11 Home Laptop (OS Build 26100.3476)

  1. Go to any website, to login
  2. Enter username & password
  3. submit

Brave Version( check About Brave):
I’ve downloaded from brave.com. v1.77.95 (Apr 2, 2025)

Additional Information:
I have done the usual troubleshooting actions.
Reinstalled - 3 times (clearing the %localAppData% folders)
Rebooting.
I’ve disabled the extensions, and hardware acceleration.
Tried new profiles.
Every time it crashes.

Hey. Same situation for me. loginning to twitch, gmail. Choosing proper driver at nvidia.com driver search form. Instant crash.

Same here issue not just with nvidia but with google as well using v1.77.95

Looks like everything got fixed today without updates or cleaning/reinstalling the browser

Yes, I would agree. All logins now seem fine, no issues with the websites I’ve tried.

Hey Evan123 i see people seem to have gotten a fix for this. I downloaded the BraveBrowserStandaloneSetup.exe from the Github but that did not fix this issue for me. Brave crashes when i attempt to login to anything.

I have the same problem, I formatted my pc and reinstalled brave and now every time I try to log into a web page it crashes.

Brave has crashed about 6 times in the last week when using my wordpress dashboard and moving to a new menu item, this morning it crashed while reading an email. I went to the crashes page and hit the send report button on the most recent crash,
