Description of the issue:
I have a bad computer, which is quite laggy so sometimes Brave crashes for me. A lot of the time when this happens its says “Reopen recently closed tabs? Brave didn’t shut down correctly” but when I go to click restore tabs, it does nothing and then the popup disappears. Every other time this happened If I waited for about 7-10 seconds the restore button did work, but this time it didn’t. I might have pressed it too early, but then after that when I closed and reopened the window to see if that would work, the Reopen popup didn’t show up. So when I went to click on recently closed tabs, there was nothing there. All 3 windows that I had open were gone.
Please can you help me that would mean so much to me.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Use a crappy computer with not much RAM
- Open a bunch of tabs in a brave window
- Do something to lag the computer out or maybe force crash brave somehow
- Go on back on brave, preferably on a tab that has a high memory usage
- Click a few times and get Brave to crash (All of the step so far have just been to Get Brave To Crash so if you already know how to do that you might be able to skip those step but you might have to do it this way)
- Reopen brave and try to click “Restore closed tabs”
- Check recent tabs list
Expected result:
Your window will be deleted
