Brave appears to be constantly contacting github. I don’t know if it’s one of the Extensions, only had a couple, or a new update.
I received a notification from my service provider about about data running out, investigated and this morning I discovered Brave was accessing the following addresses. Data consumed over a day is over 40GB. My firewall logs pointed to my personal computer’s address accessing the below github addresses.
From my lsof -i logs I pinpointed Brave on Ubuntu 20.04. No other apps were accessing these sites and the data usage continued to grow.

I have since uninstalled Brave and access and data usage has completely stopped. A bit of a shame since I’ve been using it for years.
