Brave cannot connect to web server on my local network

Problem:

  1. Brave cannot connect to web server on my local network.
  2. Firefox cannot connect to web server on my local network.
  3. Safari connect to problem

I have been running system like this for 15 years.

Recent changes: upgraded my MacPro macOS 15.3 (Sequoia with Open Core Legacy Patcher). The webserver is built with Parallels Desktopp instead of VMWare. VMWare will not run on Sequoia with Open Core Legacy patcher.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enter the ip address of the web server into browser address bar

Expected result
Website will come up in browser, regardless of browser

Actual result
Brave says the site cannot be loaded. Firefox says site cannot be reached
Safari has no problem

@carla_rogers if you would, I want you to test something for me. I think someone mentioned you need to go to brave://flags and set Enable Localhost access permission prompt to enabled.

The default setting is disabled, as you can see in my screenshot below. I might be wrong about this being the setting to change, but it’s simple enough to toggle and you can always revert if it doesn’t work.
