Brave browser reads buttons although disabled

I have this issue where my CTRL button makes the number 4 button work whenever I press it so I simply use xmodmap -e 'keycode (ctrl)=' to disable it.

This solution works all over the system EXCEPT on brave browser, for some reason brave browser reads the button although disabled, how can I change this behavior?

Brave Version: 1.76.82
Linux Version: Ubuntu 22.04.4
