Somewhere between: “Select ‘Help with AXS App’” . . . and . . . “`Chat to us!'” . . . the OVO Arena Wembley app probably sends the job of accessing AXS help, to:
https://www.axs.com/
When Safari is the default Internet browser, Safari “just opens the axs.com webpage.”
But when Brave Browser is the default Internet browser, the axs.com webpage may not function correctly - without the user’s assistance: Making some Brave Shields [icon] adjustment(s).
Perhaps / maybe, BEFORE you use the OVO Arena Wembley app, start Brave Browser on your iPhone, and use a Brave Browser New Window (aka tab) to open the axs.com website.
There, you would click the Brave Shields [icon] button, and allow javascripts - by, Disabling “Block Scripts”:
Thanks for this, I’m going to need some time to digest all of this (its a bit confusing) as I’m not that technically minded! I’ll need to set aside some time to try this over the weekend unless I have a window of opportunity before then.
Lets see what happens
Just so you know, Brave has nothing to do with things happening in other apps. If you’re clicking on a link from another app it will open in Brave if it’s your default browser.
The screenshot you shared seems to be happening in its own app. The UI shown is completely different from what we generally would see from Brave. And if it was trying to open in Brave, it should actually open the Brave app and display something there. It’s kind of weird for this error message to be appearing in their app.
If you press and hold down on the Chat to us! button, does a context menu open up? If so, you should see some sort of option like Copy URL, Open in Brave, or something of the sort. I’m wondering if perhaps copying link and going would work. In this I’m saying if you can copy the link, open in Brave, and paste the URL it may work. Or if it just straight up gives you an option to open in the browser.
Other thing, if you try to go through the help articles completely through Brave rather than starting through their app, might you have any better success?
Hi,
Nothing happens when I press ‘Chat to us’, the screen remains unresponsive and the blocked URL message appears likr a strap line at the top.
I just changed my default browser back to Safari and it’s the same result. I didn’t clear history, cache, cookies though - do you think I should?
This is visible while you’re still in the Ovo Arena app, right? It’s not switched over to Brave, Safari, or any other app? While I’m pretty sure I’m right, it’s always good to make sure not assuming and that the person using the device can give confirmation.
This shouldn’t be needed, but won’t hurt anything if you do (except make you login on things again if you clear cookies)
It may just be that the app has some issue or perhaps even iOS itself is blocking something from opening in that app. But trying a different approach, specifically trying to navigate directly to their website in Brave and contacting from there, would be good to see if it would allow further conversation. If it goes through, then it’s confirmation it’s something with their app. But if it blocks you from anything while on their website when using Brave, then that also tells us something.
Thanks for your help on this, this is occurring whilst I’m in the OvoArena app.
I absolutely need to be able to carry this out in my phone because for most of the time I don’t have access to a laptop.
Anyway, I don’t wish to pursue this anymore, I thought this would be a straightforward change / toggle of something in the settings - it may well be something in the App itself.
I incorrectly assumed that the app in question, was an official app for “axs.com”
Finally, searching online - that I should have done, originally (criteria: “ovo arena app not working” - I used Brave Search) . . . revealed several unsatisfied users of the OVO Arena Wembley app.
The issue is apparently between the app and sites to which it connects.
Yes which is why I keep trying to tell you to do it on the Brave app on your phone. I was telling you to go to the website in Brave and try to talk to them. But you keep doing it just from their app only which I don’t think you have to.
The issue of Brave browser blocking URLs on AXS ticketing chat highlights the balance between privacy-focused browsers and seamless user experience. While Brave is known for its robust privacy features, this functionality may inadvertently disrupt important interactions like accessing ticket links. If you’re exploring this topic for an assignment, seeking essay help can provide valuable insights into the relationship between privacy technology and user convenience. With professional guidance, you can structure your arguments effectively and analyze both the technical and user experience perspectives. It’s an intriguing subject that bridges technology and its practical implications for everyday users.
