Brave browser download link gives me a "Your connection is not private" error

Received a message on my MacOS version of Brave that the browser was out of date. I attempted to follow the procedures presented to upgrade the browser, and I was unsuccessful.

I’m not sure, but this is what happened to me.

  1. I opened the browser on my MacBook Pro. I got this message.

  2. Then I clicked the button. Next this appeared.

  3. After that, the following window appeared.

  4. When I clicked “Reinstall Brave”, I got this:

  5. I checked the certificate, and it looks like a valid CERT. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

The expcted result would be to download the newest version of Brave.

Version: 1.65.114 Chromium: 124.0.6367.60 (Official Build) (arm64)

I can’t access the Brave.com website at all from my location. Very strange.

Ok… I found out the problem.

My institution has suddenly inserted a network filter that blocks access to the brave.com website. I had no idea they implemented this.

The issue should be considered resolved. Sorry for bothering.
