Description of the issue:
Every time I try to activate PiP mode, the Brave browser ends up crashing the gnome desktop, thus losing the entire session.
I’ve already tried disabling hardware acceleration and it had no effect.
In the Firefox browser, PiP works perfectly.
The system is a Fedora Linux 40 with gnome(46) and Wayland.
The kernel is: Linux 6.8.11-300.fc40.x86_64
Everything is up to date.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open Brave on a Gnome Fedora 40
- Open a Video in any platform
- Activate PiP mode
- Close the PiP mode
- Crashes the gnome desktop
Expected result:
The PiP should be able to open and close normally.
