Brave browser cannot download file

Description of the issue:
I am not able to download file to my Raspberry Pi 4B after upgrading the Brave browser to the latest version.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open brave browser.
  2. Go to any website and try to download a document. E.g., https://www.ontario.ca/page/renew-g-drivers-licence-80-years-and-over
  3. The download will fail. Nothing is saved to the selected directory. E.g., ~/Downloads

Expected result:
Download the file successfully.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.71.123 Chromium: 130.0.6723.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
Hardware : Raspberry Pi 4B
OS: Ubuntu 24.10

I checked this issue and the file can be download on a Windows 11 with same version of brave browser.
So this problem only exist on Ubuntu.

Some small files for testing downloading . . .

A simple text (TXT) file. The contents are one word: β€˜test’:

I am not able to download the 2 files you mentioned.

Using the brave browser. I click save and nothing happened.

Please use another Internet browser, to click on each test file link and download.

If I use firefox browser I can download the 2 files successfully.

I re-installed brave browser and the problem is resolved. You can close this ticket.
