Brave blinks in application panel as if it was just opened whenever it loses focus

Description of the issue:

When the Brave window loses focus (aka, clicked on a different open window), the icon in the application panel (Linux equivalent to the Taskbar) blinks and highlights as if it was just opened or a link was clicked outside the browser. This is absurdly obnoxious as the highlighted color draws attention away from my work.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave, notice the icon blinks in the panel
  2. Click another application. Note this doesn’t happen 100% of the time, but very often
  3. Observe

Expected result:
Well, no blinking when unecessary.

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.77.95

Additional Information:
Arch-based distro
KDE Plasma 6.3.4
Wayland (not sure if it matters but I’ll mention anyway)
Brave is the default browser
Downloaded via the AUR.
