I just switched from Apple iOS 15 to Android 15.
I am loyal to Brave browser. I switched from Apple iOS Brave to Android Brave (v. Brave 1.79.119, Chromium 137.0.7151.68) and found that android browser is even more advanced in some features.
BUT there are user interface and functional features in android Brave which I request to be improved based on my experience of using Brave on iOS (most of them are better realised there).
- Bookmarks. On iOS on main screen of Brave except ordinary bookmarks folders I got Favorite. Here on android Brave I can optinally apply feature “Show top sites” which actually shows my history web I visited. When I delete history of browser these “top sites” are also deleted. What is a sense of empty new tab? Here will be perfect to input Favorite bookmarks as it is in iOS Brave. Because every time go to field “bookmarks” is very annoying and empty field is unapplied.
- Passwords import. What is a sense of password export without import? Just improve this feature. https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/35780681703053-How-do-I-import-or-export-data-in-Brave-Android
- Playlist. Feature which allow to create playlist and even download video to watch it later offline. Exist on ios and simply lack on android.
- Scroll up to top. On ios when reading webpage I can one-type on the top of browser and my webpage will be scrolled up immediately to top. Where is this convenient feature on android?
- Fast scrolling. In the right side of screen there is a visual cursor which shows the current position of total duration of webpage. On ios this cursos is interactive and allows to scroll fast page down or up. On android this feature simply lack.
- Tabs bar. Except button operating opened tabs under webaddress bar on ios there is additional bar which allow to operate between opened windows of webpages (switch between them and delete). On android Brave simply lack of this convenient feature.
- If I by mistake clicked on web address bar to see my webpage again I have to scroll on empty field, then open all my tabs and choose the webpage again. It is very annoying and many clicks requires. On ios for such situation near web address bar is button “Cancel”.
- Bar buttons. On ios on bar with web address are buttons “refresh page”, “reading mode”. On Android you putted this in “Settings” what require additional click to do. Ok. But why there is no “go back” button, only “go forward”. Of course, I can swipe on screen and system will move webpage back. But why there is no button? “Bookmarks” button is better to be placed near web address bar as on ios.
I highly expect you will improve Brave.
