I have a 2-monitor system. Brave used to open on the same monitor where it was last closed. Now it always opens on one screen and always opens full screen. Chrome does not do this.
@hurricane51 I’m not on Win10 Pro, however this used to occur from time to time for me (notably, after automatic Windows Update installations). At the time, exiting the browser from the hamburger menu, then re-launching it, moving it, positioning it as desired, exiting it again, then re-launching it caused it to resume appearing where/how I’d placed it. More rarely, I’ve had to do this in Windows 11 with Brave, as well as Chrome.

Yes, it happened after the most recent Windows Update. Unfortunately, your suggestion had no effect. I tried a couple variations on the sequence, but the results were the same.
It’s just an annoyance. I can live with it.
