Why a I seeing these ads without brave rewards enabled? I thought Brave was better than all the rest, till I started seeing these ads and I can’t block them with anything.
Are you seeing this in News? Brave News contains ads that cannot be independently disabled.
A new tab and then scrolling down the news, is where I see it, after I scroll down a bit.
@shazzyrm yes, that’s Brave News. When you went to enable Brave News it told you they’d show up.

So this is an optional thing. If you wish to have Brave News, then ads will be part of it. Otherwise you keep it off. It’s up to you on what you want to do. This is the one place where Brave does not allow us to disable ads but still use the service.
Ok will uninstall the browser then. Thanks for the replies.

@shazzyrm silly of you to say as that’s only for Brave News section which is an optional RSS feed you can choose not to enable and use.
But if you’re going to be like that and have fun going to whichever other browser that you’re going to which is going to show you a lot more ads and not respect your privacy

@shazzyrm btw, weird timing, but wanted to point out official post just made where they said ads are being removed from Brave News.
