Bookmarks not shown at all on brave@android

Description of the issue:
After updating to V1.64.113 the widget showed the folder “mobile bookmarks” only. After removing the widget and reinstalling it, not bookmarks are shown at all. The bookmark menue inside the app fails to show any bookmark - it only reads: “You’ll find your bookmarks here”. You can see a constantly rotating circle. In fact there are bookmarks, as I have successfully exported them to a file. They are just not shown.

How can this issue be reproduced?

The problem has solved itself for the time being. Quite surprisingly, the bookmarks appeared in the widget and in the app again. I had tinkered a bit with another widget (windy), adjusting its background activity permission. I really do not know whether this is related.
