This is my first post here, so please forgive me if I´m not posting this under the right category, and/or if this issue has already been answered/solved.
A couple of months ago my Brave bookmarks started to jump whenever I scrolled over them with the pointer. The bookmarks jumps to the top every few seconds, which is very annoying and time consuming.
I have the same problem on all my laptops whether I use win 10, win 11 or Linux.
My Brave version is V.1.79.126
I have trawled the net for answers and suggestions just as I have here, but haven´t been able to find a fix for this.
Brave worked perfectally up until this started.
You’re not alone—this issue with bookmarks jumping uncontrollably in Brave has been reported by several users recently. It’s especially frustrating when it interrupts your workflow.
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Disable Extensions: Sometimes a browser extension can interfere with bookmarks. Try disabling all extensions, restart Brave, and check if the issue persists.
Try a Fresh Profile: Go to brave://settings/ > Add Profile. This helps rule out corrupted user data.
Turn Off Sync Temporarily: If you’re using Brave Sync, try turning it off to see if that resolves the issue.
Check for Updates: Ensure Brave is up-to-date. Even though you’re on v1.79.126, sometimes small patches get released without changing the major version number.
Hardware Acceleration: Try turning off hardware acceleration under Settings > System.
If none of the above work, consider reporting the issue on Brave’s GitHub Issues page so the developers can look into it more deeply.
