They need to implement the block elements slider that ublock has on android on firefox. With that said, depending on what you are trying to block, if you strategically click on different parts of the screen, you can sometimes grab the element that you need to block. In certain cases you might need to slowly block the smaller elements first and get them out of the way and then you can figure out which element you need to block. If its something you really need to do you can do it by commenting out the blocked elements and and reloading the page to figure out which one is which and write a comment for each blocked element. On mobile this is tedious and would be much easier to do on desktop. Which you could also do on your desktop and then paste the blocked elements for the page once you get the page the way you want to a text file or email it to yourself and then copy on android, open brave and then paste into the blocked elements for the page that you want and it will work perfect only blocking what you need and nothing else. Definitely not something that does any good for when you just want to do something quick but if its a page you visit frequently then it might be worth the time to do it.

I posted jpegs of the issue and there’s no way to grab the element that is stuck to the bottom of the page. The brave bar covers the element completely.

Yes I am aware of that. I told you how to do it. Those are the only ways until they put something like ublock has with the sliders to select specific elements. It can still be done, it will just take longer.

And I appreciate you telling me your thoughts on the issue. I’m happy for you being willing to tell me that. And I’m telling you that there’s no way around the complete blockage of the element no matter how many times I click around the brave box. Now seriously if I’m misunderstanding your directions then please try to explain it again maybe some pictures or a short video?

I dont know, it’s already been said. If you don’t understand, you don’t understand. It can’t be done, it’s impossible. I made all that up I guess. Sorry to have wasted your time

Thank you. Why don’t you go to the site that I am having trouble with and do a little screen video of removing it on your Android phone?

when i go to the website I do not see what you have on your screen, you can try adding this to your filters and see if it works.

  1. go to brave lion in the address bar
  2. advanced controls
  3. block element
  4. manage filters
  5. add lines below.

add the following line:
usamega.com##div#audhead

or try this if above does not work:
usamega.com##footer

thats best i can do for you without seeing the same thing as in the screen shots.

good luck

Thanks so much for the extra effort. Neither of those worked.

That sucks. Especially if it’s a website that you go to all the time. I wonder why your seeing it and I am not. I would assume that your using Brave with aggressive shields for tracker blocking as I am. I just opened it up in another browser (Firefox) and was able to see the element that your talking about. Although it is just like a light blue empty bar with no ad in it but try putting this in as a rule.

This completely removed it for me on FireFox, should work in Brave. If it doesn’t then I am officially out of ideas for you!

You can put this in so it is just for that that site. This is what works in FireFox as I just verified. Just make sure that when you enter it that you have these both on their own lines.

Yes I’m using the aggressive shields and tracker blocking.
And I don’t go to that website regularly. But I didn’t realize it would be this drawn out to get rid of that element. So as I’ve said I’m thankful that you’ve tried. But it’s not going to ruin my life if it’s there. And I assume at some point Brave will fix their window so it can be moved.
And thank you for the attempt again. That didn’t do anything for me. And to be clear I don’t have any other filters that I have added except for ones you’ve been kind enough to give me. But you’re right about the placeholder at that element. When I open that page the element is just a fuzzy area and then the ad pops up. I’ve attached a picture. I think that’s what you’re saying also?

Yeah that’s very similar to what i was looking at on the page there. I can’t believe that this did not work:

Well only the bottom line is needed. I like to add comments if I manually enter something, it’s nice in case you have to go back and figure out what’s going on if need be. Theres no way it doesn’t work for you tho!! But either way if it’s not a website that you’re on all the time then it’s not that big a deal. If you ever run into the issue where you find you need it gone, popping open Firefox on mobile with uBlock installed and then going to the same page and removing the element with the element picker and then checking your filters and then copy from unlock Firefox into Brave and it will be gone. uBlock even on Android is just unbeatable. Would love to be able to install it on Brave on android. Brave with uBlock built into it just doesn’t provide the same level of function and no where near as much control. Anyways, the first image you attached is a nice lookin pup! Just noticed same one from your pfp!! I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it’s named Silat? Looks like a very nice dog!! Take care. Cheers :clinking_beer_mugs:

I agree with everything you said. Been using ublock since the early days of its existence.

WOW!!! Your the real deal with these animals!!! Just from the pictures, you can see the look of pure joy, calm, ready when needed. I love seeing when dogs have been BEYOND fully trained!!! I would say what your doing is the highest level of dog training handling that there is. It is just such a beautiful thing!! I have so much respect for not only the dog but the work that goes into it! It
has to be so rewarding to be able to do that with them. Each time is the beginning of a new journey different from the last. You’ve probably got the whole formula figured out. The routines, recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of each dog.

I seen a clip on Twitter of a guy with a cane Corso and he was in some kind of store (I think it was a pet store of some sorts, might have been in the United States, maybe a Pet Smart or Super Pet) anyways the dog was not doing very well, had a muzzle on and the owner or the person handling the dog has the leash wrapped around his arm giving the dog no room to move and the dog is freaking out. The owner or handler is saying no, it’s ok, stop, good boy, no, no, stop, good boy, good boy. The dog had no direction, so many commands, none of the clear. My heart just breaks for the animal seeing that. People look at the dog and say “that thing needs to be put down” or “why have a dog like this? So aggressive and violent, there’s no point in even breeding these dogs”. It’s not the dogs fault. The dogs never had proper direction and probably so frustrated. Then the dog gets labeled as a “bad dog” and the owner tries to make sure people don’t get hurt so they never let anyone around the dog, or any other dogs near it.
Everytime the dog sees people or other animals gets excited and starts barking and the owner yells at it. The man in the clip, should not have had the dog. He needed to be trained on how to handle that kind of dog and should have done it well before he even took possession of the dog. Took on too much responsibility, didn’t understand how much commitment its going to take and that’s when people end up getting hurt and the dog ends up having to pay the ultimate price. So I really admire what you do. Do you have a YouTube channel or somewhere that you post pictures and videos? I’m sure you have a bunch!!

I do not post videos. I’ve been very fortunate when it comes to these dogs. I know three world class trainers in Germany that are my friends and have helped me throughout the decades. I have learned so much from them and I’ve been lucky enough to have them there to help guide me through any issues I ever had with my dogs during the early years of training. They are the professionals I am just the lucky receiver of all their expertise. They literally are dog whisperers.
