Blocking ads & trackers (standard) completely breaks all sites

Description of the issue:
Only appears in private tabs!
When activating “block ads & trackers (standard)” in the brave menu (what pops up if you tap the logo in the top right) the website I’m on appears as if the CSS has been disabled (white, default browser font, no images or elements besides text and links).

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Activate “block ads & trackers (standard)” in the brave menu under the section “block ads and trackers”

Expected result:
Websites being displayed weirdly / breaking
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave version 1.75.178
Mobile Device details
Xiaomi redmi note 11
Android 13

  • Cached images and files
Tips regarding Brave Shields:

I have more success, with:

  • Brave Shields UP
  • Either Allow All Cookies or Block 3rd Party Cookies, but NOT Blocking All Cookies
  • Allowing JavaScripts from specific sources, but NOT Allowing All JavaScripts
  • Trackers & Ads treatment: Aggressive (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
  • Fingerprinting (aka footprinting) blocking: Strict (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting

I almost NEVER use:

  • All of Brave Shields UP
  • All of Brave Shields DOWN
