Leaving Brave Shields on default settings while trying to access an assignment results in a darkening overlay that blocks interaction with any elements on the page. This appears to have started with one of the last Brave updates I did. Removing this element with the element picker results in the current page being usable, but some other functionality of the site breaks (trying to move to another portion of the site no longer functions).
The div that the element is contained within is composed of this line:
div class=“bb-offcanvas-overlay” style=“top: 0px;”
(I removed all angle brackets so it would display properly on this page)
Deleting this html with the element picker seems to restore functionality of the site.
Site is webcourses.niu.edu, but a student/faculty login is required to sign in.
The issue presents with default Shield settings.
The website works when Shields are off, specifically the “block trackers and ads” settings must be turned off. Everything else seems to work as intended.
The site works with Edge, and the mobile version of Brave (including with Shields on). I don’t have Chrome installed on my computer.
Brave Version is:
v 1.71.121
