I’ve seen solutions for this that include clearing your search history and browser cache, but that does not work for me.
The issue is that there is a yellow best buy logo in my search bar on the left side whenever I attempt to search by clicking on the box or forming a new tab/window.
I have attempted every solution I can find online, but nothing works and now my cookies, passwords, and search data is gone in the attempt to get it to work.
Does anyone have an actual fix, not a band-aid for this issue?
Hello there @BlueOrion can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue? You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
Additionally, try opening Best Buy using private mode or a guest window to see if the error does not repeat.

@BlueOrion would you go to brave://settings/searchEngines and check what’s there? It sounds like you have Best Buy added as a default search. Guessing if you did search it, it would then do a search on Best Buy?
I guess brave just picks up random logo from websites based on the history. For me it shows windows logo on brave beta. Brave and brave nightly display other logo. This happening for a year or so I guess.
OP, did any of the proffered solutions work? This is not a new error; I’ve had various websites’ logos in my brave search bar ever since I downloaded the app probably a year and a half ago.

Brave picks up a random logo. But once it is picked up it stays the same for months. It shows up every time I type a address/search term. I see this on Brave, Beta, nightly. They all pick up different logo randomly.
Thank you guys for the solutions. I don’t know what fixed it, but i believe it was the original solution. It’s weird cause it just took a couple of days and seemed to fix itself.
I deleted the history and cookies and it didn’t fix it. After 3 days it was gone.
