BATs and updating to windows 11

Briefly describe your issue:
I am wondering if updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 without a verified account for my BATs will make me lose it.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?
Operating System : Windows 10
Brave version : 1.41.9 (my brave version is the latest one)

Is your browser wallet currently verified? (yes/no)
No

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?
Yes, I got the BAT from every month on the homepage from brave

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)
No

Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)?
Yes

Have you manually turned off Auto-contribute on all of your devices linked to Uphold??

Auto contributions are turned off (but I don’t have any device linked to uphold)

It shouldn’t. Best way to make sure things are good would be to backup your Brave folder first. Then even if something goes wrong, you’ll be able to recover from it.

In the meantime, users facing a situation in which they have no custodial option and need to back up their current vBAT can manually copy-paste/back up their /brave-browser folder (at least on desktop), which will contain their vBAT at the time of manual backup. They can find a path to it in brave://version .
