Hey Brave Community
So I have been switching to brave for a while now, but I didn’t earn any BAT for watching ads, I have everything enabled, including the Brave Notification Ads, but I didn’t receive any notification at all, I am on a Macbook, so I have no clue if Brave support them or not. But I have watched ads for like 3 days now, and still earned nothing. I have uphold connected, new tab ads, notification, and search ads on. Does anybody know what happended?
@coderhoang it’s very important you try to search for topics and read anything that’s pinned before creating a topic. For example, there are pinned topics with the info directly below:
Also there have been many posts about this. By searching you make it so people don’t have to constantly repeat the same information.
We get paid once a month. Payouts begin around the 7th of each month and can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to complete and arrive to us. We get paid a month after. So what we view now in March is paid in April.
I know that the next payout is April 7th, 2025. However, right now, I have 0 BAT in the brave reward. The brave reward tab still have 0.
@coderhoang if the payment hasn’t happened, how would you expect to have anything?
In the past there was an estimated earnings section, but that’s been gone for a while now. What you see is only your balance. That’s the BAT you have received from payouts. If you have not yet had your payout, of course the balance is 0

Yeah, that doesn’t even exist. If you see the words estimated earnings anywhere then you’re on an old version of Brave. New ones are like:

So all we see is the balance currently in our Uphold or whatever. And then we have a count of how many ads we have seen in the month.

Hey, can I also ask why does the notification not appearing? I turned it on to 10 an hour, but the last 3 days, I haven’t receive any ad notification
@coderhoang just because we have it set to 10 per hour doesn’t mean we’ll definitely get the 10 per hour. That’s just the maximum we can see. In reality it tends to be a lot less than that. It all depends on the ads in our region. In the links I shared, one of them would have mentioned https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/ which will show you the ads in your region, how many times we can see ads from that campaign, the type of ads they are, etc.
Beyond that, just have to make sure you have things set to Brave can show you notifications. If you have something like a Focus Assist, Do Not Disturb, or any such thing then it would stop the notification from showing. In addition, Brave won’t show notification ads if you’re gaming or watching a video in full screen.
