When I try to play a track on Bandcamp there’s a message in the URL bar that says, “Autoplay was blocked on this page” and there’s no audio.
I’ve added [*.]bandcamp.com to brave://settings/content/sound > Allowed to play sound - shouldn’t that allow audio to play for all the artist sub-domains?
The only way I can get audio to work is to allow Autoplay for each individual Bandcamp sub-domain. Also, no difference if I turn off Brave Shields on Bandcamp.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Go to Bandcamp.com
- Click the Play button on a track
Expected result: The track should play.
Brave Version: 1.79.119 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Additional Information: Same issue if I try to play a Bandcamp track in a Private Window.
6/5/24 Update: This appears to be a Brave for macOS issue. I have the same version of Brave installed on a Windows 11 PC and playing tracks on Bandcamp works fine.
