Bad performance for PDFs, big html files

As the title states, I’m having horrible performance for pdfs and big html files

Reproduce:

  1. Open big pdf/html file (I used these financial filings: filing1 and filing2
  2. Scroll a lot, tab in and out of brave. Doing so I experience hanging/lag. I don’t experience anything of the kind on edge/chrome.

Reproduces how often: The lag seems to be constant if the file is big enough. Don’t experience performance issues on ordinary web pages.

Windows
Version 1.16.72 Chromium: 86.0.4240.183 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Tested both with addins and without addins in incognito mode

Fixed. For some reason hardware acceleration was disabled, even after resetting settings.
