Description of the issue:
Audio playback on iOS Brave browser has been behaving weirdly and unexpectedly for the years I’ve been using the app and I finally made an account to report this. The following issues are things I’ve run into while using the app (note: I have background audio enabled, these issues usually only happen one at a time)
- when exiting the app, currently playing audio pauses and then resumes itself
- when exiting the app, currently playing audio pauses and does not resume
- when switching tabs, currently playing audio pauses
- when closing tabs, sometimes audio continues playing from what was in the closed tab
- when looking at the device’s audio play/pause menu, the brave browser audio does not show as playing despite being playing
- audio starts playing itself again when it has been paused (observed when receiving phone call, when pausing audio, when switching tabs, etc.)
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Turn on background audio
- Play music or videos from somewhere (ex. YouTube)
- Switch tabs, exit the app, enter the app. Behavior happens seemingly randomly.
Expected result:
I would like to see the following behavior:
- Audio plays in the background when the app is closed or tabs are switched without any discernible stopping and starting
- Audio shows as playing on the phones music play/pause menu (trying to describe the square in control center and the popup that appears on the Lock Screen) every time something is playing (though maybe not with detail if there are multiple audio sources playing through brave simultaneously)
- Maybe: multiple tabs play their audio at the same time, though this could probably be its own setting

Mobile Device details
iPhone 12 Pro
Additional Information:
It seems that rather than making the apps audio be background and have it mix with others, that some sort of manual process is taking place where brave detects it’s been paused and starts playing itself again.
Thanks for hearing me out
