Aw, Snap page error defies fixes

Getting the Aw, Snap page error but ONLY on the Comicsands page…
Opening any Comicsands link

  1. PC running Brave on Ubuntu 23.10
  2. Tried deleting cookies, no change;
  3. Tried New Private Window, no change.

Expected result:

Brave v1.69.164

This has been happening for months but only on one web page, ComicSands when I click on one of their story links and go to their page, after a couple minutes, it goes to the Aw, Snap page. None of the fixes shown here or online change it.

@Jim_HiTek, I visited the site but couldn’t replicate the issue. I’m not sure if there’s anything else required other than visiting, clicking links, and waiting. Are you switching between tabs or doing anything else?

At one point, I did notice an overlay starting to appear (like a cookie notice trying to block content), but it disappeared by me scrolling for a while or switching tabs back and forth. See the screenshots below.

Can you answer the following to help narrow things down?

  1. Does disabling Shields make any difference?

  2. If you create a new browser profile (Hamburger menu -> More tools -> Add new profile), do you notice any change? Don’t add extensions or change settings on the new profile.

  3. Is this the only website you’re experiencing issues with?
