I have an Amazon Fire tablet. Right now, in order to use Brave on it, I have to install 3 different programs just to have access to Google Play. I am not willing to do that. Instead, I would like to see Brave available in the Amazon App store without having to install additional programs. Right now, it’s incorrect for Brave to claim that it is ‘available on all your devices’ when it isn’t.
Have you tried downloading it from our GitHub repo?
Here’s a link to the current released version on our GitHub: https://github.com/brave/browser-android-tabs/releases/tag/1.0.52(RC2)
In addition, Brave also available through Amazon Store. Linked from Brave website https://www.amazon.com/Brave-Software-Browser-Fast-AdBlock/dp/B01M27C0RQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=mobile-apps&ie=UTF8&qid=1477686541&sr=1-2
I’ll give it a try. Love this browser. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Lauren.
Damn Straight Tubeman!!! Thanks for having the guts to make this post!!
I believe github is compromised now, it was purchased by some other entity recently and the changes have been significant. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are allied with google, meaning that google analytics is used to track users who connect to github.
A user suggested ‘amazon’…argh, that’s like going from bad to worse. A tablet that is limited to using the operating system that is written by the OEM is corrupted…the deck is stacked against you when you press the power button to use it.
